Easy ways to defeat FTP dictionary attacks
Today's how to are some simple tips to keeping your FTP site secure.
Do not run an anonymous FTP site.
Change / Disable the root / administrator name.
Keep all user names more than just a first name.
Do not use "New User" or "Computer".
Review FTP logs daily to make sure all other defenses are working.
